JAY S. KEYSTONE, MD, FRCPC, is a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto, a staff physician at the Tropical Disease unit at the Toronto General Hospital and Director of the Medisys Travel Health Clinic in Toronto. Dr. Keystone has received numerous honors including the Cody Gold Medal (1964-1969) and has held medical society positions worldwide. He is the past president of the International Society of Travel Medicine, the American Committee on Clinical Tropical Medicine and Travelers’ Health (ACCTMTH) of the American Society of Tropical Medicine, and the Canadian Society for International Health. He has served on editorial boards of Canadian and American journals and been published in many distinguished international journals. Dr. Keystone is a renowned consultant and lecturer in the fields of travel and tropical medicine with his interests residing in leprosy, traveler’s diarrhea, delusional parasitosis and traveler’s health. Dr. Keystone’s claim to fame is being the first and last attending physician to make rounds at the Toronto General Hospital on rollerblades.
